Life Long Learning

Every couple of years, I will be looking out for something new to learn, anything. First couple of years after marriage, my wife and I did a course (almost equivalent of a Masters of Arts) on Family Education. As parents, we figured we will need some knowledge about parenting! And it did come in helpful.

Later, I decided to upgrade some knowledge in the field of public governance. Then, itching to try something different, I went on to get a professional certification in coaching. And then, a Masters in Life Long Learning. In between, we were raising 3 young kids and a full time consultancy going on. I still remember those crazy late nights doing my assignments, cursing and swearing in the still of the night.

Why learn? You may ask. Well, we can get into the argument of whether knowledge is wealth, or knowledge is better than wealth, etc. I will leave that to others to continue the conversation. To me simply, knowledge is simply fascinating. Put it to good use, and it changes lives. It empowers. It entrusts. It motivates.

What next? Maybe a course on first aid, NLP, profiling, or even theology…the list is endless.
